History: Luna's mother died when Luna was seven. When Leia and Laura were but one and Luna was seven, their mother was taking them to the park. As they all crossed the muggle parkway, a car speeding down and hit all of the girls. Luna's mother, Angelique, who was pregnant, lost the baby. Upset and hospitalised from the injury, she disconnected herself from life support, killing herself. Leia and Laura got out with minor scratches and Luna was out with barely a mark. Luna wondered what had happened to her mother as their father moved from Turner's Point, to Surrey. He then picked up a job with the infamous paper, the Quibbler. Since then, Christopher Lovegood has taught his daughter to be an optimist no matter what. This remains for when Luna is taunted at school. She knows not to respond with hate, but with wonder. This is often the base of her teasing. Amazingly, next year, not only will Luna have good grades, but a trail for her twin sisters to follow.
